Nissequogue: Private Village on the Nissequogue River
Nissequogue is a small incorporated village on the Town of Smithtown's North Shore, occupying the Nissequogue River peninsula between the river's mouth at Smithtown Bay and the preserved woodlands of Nissequogue River State Park to the south. With fewer than 1,500 residents, the village maintains an exceptionally private character -- gated estates and waterfront properties on the river and the Sound, accessible primarily via Old Nissequogue River Road and Horse Race Lane west of the Route 25A corridor.
Transportation from Nissequogue involves navigating the Route 25A corridor through Smithtown before reaching the Northern State Parkway or Sunken Meadow Parkway access points. Your Luxury Limo has served the Smithtown-Nissequogue corridor since 2016. Route 25A through the Smithtown center -- particularly at Main Street and the Northern State Parkway on-ramp -- builds up from about 7:20 AM. Our pickup windows from Nissequogue for early-morning JFK runs always depart no later than 4:45 AM to avoid this window entirely.
Routes from Nissequogue to JFK, LGA & Manhattan
From Old Nissequogue River Road or Horse Race Lane: east or south to Route 25A, then west to the Northern State Parkway or Sunken Meadow Parkway access. From the Northern State: east to the LIE for JFK (approximately 85–120 minutes total from the village), or west to the Grand Central Parkway for LGA (approximately 80–115 minutes). For Manhattan: Northern State west → Queens–Midtown Tunnel or the Triborough Bridge to the FDR Drive.
Westchester County Airport (HPN) is a viable option from Nissequogue -- Northern State west to I-495 west to the Hutchinson River Parkway north, approximately 70–95 minutes. For clients with domestic flights, we sometimes recommend HPN over LGA for its smaller terminal and faster check-in.
